LAWRENCE FINE SOCCER CAMP - enrollment places are still available for incoming 8th - 12th graders. The location of the Lawrence fine Camp has been changed back to in front of the Governmental Center in Leonardtown next to the Leonardhall Drill Hall. Using high school fields has been a moving target all summer. I apologize for the changes - I assure you it is not me making the changes. Lawrence Fine has agreed to again offer soccer camp this year after a very successful one week camp last year. We are lucky enough to have Mr. Fine and his assistant offering two weeks of opportunities this year. Mr Fine will be coming in from West Virginia and has been a successful soccer coach for more than 20 years. He has coached national and state championship teams at all level including high school and collegiate and has coached numerous All-American soccer athletes across the country. Camp will focus on soccer skills, team play, communication and scoring. Camp will be broken into two weeks with different schedules for each week. Camp will be held Monday – Friday in front of the Governmental Center in Leonardtown next to the Leonardhall Drill Hall. at the times indicated below. All campers should arrive 20-30 minutes in advance to get ready and to do warm-ups as a group so that the time with Mr. Fine will all be instructional. Campers should each bring a soccer ball, soccer cleats, shin guards, and water. To keep costs as low as possible during these difficult economic times the decision has been made not to order shirts this year. Camp is open to all high school players but registration will be limited in number to make sure that instruction is effective. Numbers will be severely restricted to make sure camp is effective and once the camp is full no additional registrations will be taken regardless of the player or the school they are attending. Camp is open to all Incoming 8th and 9th graders regardless of school or location. This camp is offered by Mr. Fine, not by LHS. Week 1 – July 28 - August 1 Week 2 – August 4 – August 8 Incoming 8th
and 9th graders only - 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM The cost to attend both weeks of camps is $225 or $150/wk. Goal keepers coming in for the one week only session are also encouraged to come in for the team session later that day at no additional cost.
